Majesticks Golf Club has confirmed that British golfing icons Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood have re-signed as Co-Captains for the 2026 LIV Golf season. They will lead the team alongside new addition Laurie Canter as the club enters its next phase with renewed ambition.
Both Poulter and Westwood were foundational figures in the creation of Majesticks GC. Their return ensures continuity, leadership, and experience as the team builds toward future success.

Between them, Poulter and Westwood bring more than 60 years of professional experience at the highest level. Their influence has shaped the club’s culture, standards, and global profile since its inception.
Westwood’s calm, analytical approach complements Poulter’s passion, intensity, and charisma. Together, they form one of the most influential leadership pairings in team golf, known for elevating performance and unity within squads.
Poulter: Stability, Energy, and Momentum
Poulter’s career spans victories on both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, highlighted by his fearless competitiveness and global profile. His return provides stability and momentum as Majesticks GC targets progress in 2026.
“I’ve been part of Majesticks Golf Club from day one,” Poulter said. “What we’ve built here is special, with a clear long-term vision. Re-signing for 2026 was an easy decision. I’m motivated and excited to help drive this team forward.”
Team Principal James Dunkley praised Poulter’s impact, noting that his energy, standards, and passion inspire belief throughout the organisation.
Westwood’s Enduring Influence
Widely regarded as one of golf’s most consistent performers, Westwood brings more than three decades of elite experience, multiple international victories, and former World No. 1 status. His composed presence and technical insight have been central to Majesticks GC’s development.
“It’s fantastic to continue this journey with Majesticks GC,” Westwood said. “The progression we’re making as a team and within LIV Golf has been incredible. I’m committed to pushing us forward in 2026.”
James Dunkley highlighted Westwood’s measured leadership and deep influence, calling his return a major reinforcement for the season ahead.

Co-Team Principal Oliver Banks emphasized the importance of both leaders, describing Poulter as an innovator with a powerful fan connection, and Westwood as integral to the Majesticks identity.
