Golf enthusiasts in Florida have an exciting new course to explore with the unveiling of “The Third” at Watersound Club. Designed by golf legend Davis Love III and his Love Golf Design team, the course officially opens on March 20 for club members and Camp Creek Inn guests.
A Tribute to Tradition and Growth
The name “The Third” symbolizes not only Love’s legendary career but also serves as Watersound Club’s third championship golf course, joining Shark’s Tooth and Camp Creek. This addition aligns with the club’s response to the growing demand for high-end golf experiences.
Patrick Murphy, Senior VP of Hospitality at St. Joe, highlighted the course’s significance:
“The opening of ‘The Third’ represents a monumental milestone in the ongoing Watersound Club evolution and an intentional response to growing demand for more golf options,” Murphy said.

The club ensures that “The Third” caters to all skill levels by offering six sets of tees. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer aiming for a challenge or a casual player looking for a leisurely round, the course promises a balanced yet exciting golf experience.
While Watersound Club members enjoy exclusive access, guests staying at Camp Creek Inn can also take on the challenge—providing a unique opportunity to experience elite golf in Florida’s Panhandle.
