The University of North Florida (UNF) women’s golf team is poised to make history as they sit in second place after two rounds at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate Tournament. With just seven strokes separating them from leader Western Kentucky, the final round at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club promises a thrilling showdown.
Allendesalazar Leads the Charge
Senior Casilda Allendesalazar is making headlines, currently tied for first place individually at 4-under 140 alongside Anna Andrysova from UL-Monroe. Allendesalazar’s stellar form has been highlighted by 11 birdies, including an electric four-birdie start in her first six holes. Her impressive second-round 69 marks the ninth time in her career she has shot in the 60s.
With a six-shot buffer over the next group of contenders, she is in prime position to capture both the medalist title and her 20th career top-10 finish.
