Women’s golf is getting a major boost this week. The Chevron Championship 2026 has announced a purse increase to $9 million, making it one of the richest prizes in women’s golf and the biggest payout in the tournament’s history under Chevron’s sponsorship.
The increase is $1 million up on last year and nearly $6 million more than when Chevron took over as title sponsor in 2022. The winner at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston this week will take home $1,350,000.
Competition rounds get underway April 23 through 26 at the City of Houston’s Memorial Park Golf Course.
Beyond the prize money, the Chevron Championship 2026 continues to lead the way in player amenities. Every competitor in the field, including those who miss the cut, receives a $10,000 stipend to cover expenses for the week. All players also get a courtesy car from official vehicle sponsor Cadillac.
Past champions enjoy an even more exclusive experience, including a private locker room, the option to drive a Bentley for the week, and complimentary accommodation at the Post Oak Hotel, the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel and Spa in Texas.
This year’s Champions Dinner was prepared by Michelin Star winning chef Thomas Keller, working alongside 2025 champion Mao Saigo.
As always, the winner will receive the iconic Dinah Shore Trophy. Continuing this tradition started when the tournament moved to Texas in 2023, the champion also receives a pair of custom-designed western boots from Republic Boot Company, with a second gold pair made for display.
