2025 NCAA DIII Women’s Golf: Schedule & Qualifiers Guide

NCAA DIII

The countdown begins as the NCAA reveals the full schedule and qualifier list for the 2025 NCAA DIII Women’s Golf Championship. Slated for May 13–16 at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, this year’s event promises elite competition on one of the game’s toughest tracks.

Championship Format

The championship will feature up to 176 participants, including both teams and individual qualifiers. Players will compete in 72 holes of stroke play across four days, with a cut after 36 holes. Only:

  • The top 15 teams
  • And the top six individuals not on advancing teams

…will move on to the final 36 holes. Each daily team score will be calculated using the four lowest individual scores from their lineup — a format that emphasizes depth and consistent performance.

Teams to Watch

Carnegie Mellon enters as the defending champion after topping Emory in 2024. They, alongside other established contenders like George Fox, Methodist, and Rhodes, will aim for supremacy on a national stage.

Breakout Talent Potential

The individual competition could provide some of the tournament’s most compelling storylines. With only six individuals outside qualifying teams advancing after the cut, there’s a strong chance for a Cinderella moment. Schools such as Mary Hardin-Baylor and Redlands have produced memorable individual runs in past events.

Legacy and History

Methodist University holds the historical edge with a staggering eleven titles from 2000 to 2012. But as programs continue to evolve, new challengers are emerging to disrupt that legacy. Resources and coaching investments have shifted the landscape across Division III golf.

The Kingsmill Challenge

The River Course at Kingsmill Resort is no stranger to championship play, having hosted both LPGA and PGA events. Challenging conditions, feature-rich greens, and demanding layouts will put both skill and stamina to the test. Mental resilience will be just as necessary as physical ability.

What’s on the Line?

For reigning powers, it’s about adding to legacies. For underdogs, it’s a chance for national recognition. And for individuals, it’s an opportunity to shine at the pinnacle of Division III women’s golf. With each swing, fortunes may change.
