2025 NCAA DII Women’s Golf: Teams & Full Schedule Guide

NCAA

The journey to the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship is officially underway. On April 28, the NCAA revealed the full roster of 72 teams and 24 individual qualifiers who will compete for glory, concluding with the championship rounds at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, from May 13 to 17.

Four Regionals, One Goal

Before arriving at Boulder City, teams must battle through four regional qualifiers from May 5 to 7. Each regional features 18 teams and 6 individuals not affiliated with those teams. The four regional zones are:

  • Central Regional – Held at KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Oklahoma. Central Missouri leads the seeding, with Henderson State and Arkansas Tech expected to be strong competitors.
  • East Regional – Played at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan. Top seed Findlay will be challenged by Grand Valley State, Missouri-St. Louis, and defending champions UIndy.
  • South Regional – Taking place at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. Anderson (SC) headlines, but will face fierce opposition from teams like Lynn, Rollins, and Nova Southeastern.
  • West Regional – Hosted at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas. Defending 2023 champions Dallas Baptist University (DBU) lead the pack with competition from Cal State San Marcos and St. Mary’s (Texas).

Only the strongest teams will earn spots in the national championship field.

Individuals Ready to Disrupt the Team Picture

Six individual players from each region, without team representation will also vie for national qualification. Among the top names:

  • Romane Lacoste (Northwestern Oklahoma State) – Central
  • Sydney Hugo (Walsh) – East
  • Sandra Eriksson (Eckerd) – South

These golfers aim to make history by advancing to the championship as solo qualifiers, hoping to emulate past rare feats of individual brilliance on the national stage.

Championship Week in Boulder City

The ultimate championship rounds will unfold from May 13–17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club, a testing venue nestled in the Nevada desert. It challenges players with windy fairways and complex greens.

The championship concludes with team match-play format after initial stroke play. This system adds intensity and drama, just like the thrilling 2024 final, where UIndy outlasted St. Mary’s in a playoff.

A Deep Field with Open Ends

Recent champions include:

  1. UIndy – 2024, 2018, 2015
  2. Dallas Baptist – 2023, 2021
  3. Findlay – 2022

This diversity reflects how competitive and uncertain DII women’s golf has become. Traditional powerhouses like Lynn and Nova Southeastern remain strong, but must now battle a landscape where anyone can win.

With the 2025 tournament approaching, all eyes turn to Nevada. One putt could change history.
