Wyndham Clark delivered a stunning final-round performance to win THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, shooting an 11-under 60 to finish at 30-under par and secure a three-shot victory in Texas.
The 32-year-old American carded an eagle and nine birdies at TPC Craig Ranch, becoming just the 10th player since 1983 to finish a four-round PGA Tour event at 30-under or better. The win marked Clark’s fourth PGA Tour title and his first since the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Clark started the final round tied near the top but surged ahead with aggressive play down the stretch. He took the lead with an eagle on the par-5 12th and closed with four birdies over his final five holes, including a near-perfect approach shot on the 18th that left him with a short birdie putt to finish at 30-under 254.
“I felt pretty comfortable, but I knew I had to put the pedal to the metal and keep making birdies,” Clark said. “I made more than I thought I was going to make, that’s for sure.”
Si Woo Kim, who began Sunday with a two-shot lead, finished second at 27-under after a final-round 65. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion, ended third at 25-under after also shooting 65.
Clark’s closing 60 matched the lowest final round by a tournament winner on the PGA Tour. He previously closed with a 60 during his weather-shortened victory at Pebble Beach in 2024.
“This one, really 59 wasn’t necessarily in the cards,” Clark said. “I’m just really proud of myself that I didn’t waver and I didn’t sit back and just try to hit to 20 feet and kind of leak my way in there. I was still very aggressive.”
Jackson Suber finished fourth at 23-under, while Keith Mitchell placed fifth at 22-under. Brooks Koepka shot 68 in the final round, and Jordan Spieth closed with a 66 after bouncing back from a difficult third round.
