As the DP World Tour nears its finale, players are battling for more than just the Race to Dubai title, they’re chasing one of 10 coveted PGA TOUR cards for the 2026 season.
Two Events Left in the Season
Only two tournaments remain: the Abu Dhabi Championship, where the top 70 players (plus Ryder Cup members) will compete, and the DP World Tour Championship, which features the top 50. When the dust settles, the top 10 players in the season-long standings, not already exempt, will earn dual PGA TOUR and DP World Tour membership.
Current Top 10 Standings
- Marco Penge
- Kristoffer Reitan
- Adrien Saddier
- John Parry
- Alex Noren
- Laurie Canter
- Haotong Li
- Daniel Brown
- Keita Nakajima
- Jordan Smith
Just outside the cut line are Martin Couvra (11), Joakim Lagergren (12), and Elvis Smylie (13), all within striking distance.
Key Movers and Storylines
Laurie Canter improved his chances after a runner-up finish at the Genesis Championship, while Marco Penge remains firmly atop the standings thanks to three victories this season. If Penge holds his lead, he’ll also secure a spot in THE PLAYERS Championship next year.
Interestingly, Alex Noren, currently 117th in the FedExCup, could retain his TOUR card via PGA TOUR status, potentially opening the door for Martin Couvra in 11th to slide into the qualification zone.
Youth vs. Experience
The top 10 are dominated by seasoned pros, seven are over 30, with Penge, Reitan, and Nakajima as the only younger players. Nakajima, a former World No. 1 amateur, continues to show promise after a stellar amateur career highlighted by wins at the Japan Amateur and Asia-Pacific Amateur in 2021.
As the season heads into its final stretch, every shot matters. The Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship will determine who takes the next step toward PGA TOUR glory.
