Ten out of twelve members of Keegan Bradley’s U.S. Ryder Cup squad will compete at the PGA Tour’s upcoming Procore Championship at Silverado Resort in Napa, California, the final Tour event before the Ryder Cup. The only absentees are Xander Schauffele, who remains undecided, and Bryson DeChambeau, ineligible due to his LIV Golf status.

Star-Studded Lineup

The Procore field is notably bolstered by several top players:

  • World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (making his Procore debut)
  • JJ Spaun, U.S. Open champion
  • Justin Thomas, two-time major winner

They join other Ryder Cup teammates including Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Young, Sam Burns, Harris English, Russell Henley, and Ben Griffin.

Strategic Prep for Ryder Cup

This assembly directly addresses criticism from 2023’s lead-up, when too many U.S. players had long breaks before the Ryder Cup, most notably their defeat in Rome. Ten committed players now gain competitive preparation, hoping to avoid a repeat of that scenario.

Contrasting European Warm-up

Meanwhile, Team Europe’s Ryder Cup lineup will largely participate in the DP World Tour’s flagship BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, setting up a critical pre-event for both squads.

Local Spotlight

Noteworthy among the U.S. team is Cameron Young, a New York native selected for his local ties and consistent season form, captain Bradley’s vision of blending experience with newcomers.
