TGL, the innovative golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, officially launched its inaugural season on January 7, 2025.
This tech-driven indoor venture aims to blend traditional golf with modern technology, providing a unique viewing experience for fans.
The matches will take place at the state-of-the-art SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, designed to enhance fan engagement and interaction. The SoFi Center is a custom-built venue featuring a large screen to display ball trajectories and a green complex for close-range play challenges.
Season Overview
The TGL features six teams composed of some of the best golfers in the world. The regular season consists of 15 matches, running through early March, followed by playoff rounds that conclude at the end of the month.
Each match is structured to last approximately two hours and includes a mix of formats: a nine-hole 3-on-3 format called ‘triples’ and a six-hole head-to-head ‘singles’ round.
