Scottie Scheffler will return to the Bahamas this December to defend his Hero World Challenge title. The Tiger Woods-hosted event will take place at Albany Golf Club from December 4–7, featuring 20 elite players, including six of the world’s top 10.
Star-Studded Field Announced
The initial lineup features Scheffler, Justin Thomas, J.J. Spaun, and Keegan Bradley. Later additions include Jordan Spieth, Billy Horschel, and Akshay Bhatia, who earned tournament exemptions.
New Faces Join the Challenge
Two players will make their Hero World Challenge debuts:
- J.J. Spaun, the 2025 U.S. Open champion
- Chris Gotterup, winner of the Genesis Scottish Open
This year’s roster represents six countries; the U.S., Scotland, England, Austria, Japan, and Canada, showcasing a truly international field.
Tiger Woods’ Continued Recovery
Although he’s the host, Tiger Woods will not compete this year. Woods is still recovering from Achilles tendon surgery and a lumbar spine disc replacement. No official timeline for his return has been announced.
Scheffler’s Momentum Heading into the Event
Scheffler claimed victory in 2024 by three strokes, debuting a new claw putting grip that marked his best putting season to date. As the world’s No. 1, Scheffler will look to continue his dominant form and close out the season with another strong performance in the Bahamas.
