Rory McIlroy Announces Divorce from Wife Erica Stoll After 7 Years!

Florida court records reveal that Rory McIlroy, a renowned professional golfer, has filed for divorce from his partner Erica Stoll after being married for seven years. The couple welcomed their daughter Poppy in 2020, and she was raised jointly by both.

On April 22, 2017, Ashford Castle in County Mayo saw the union of Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll amid an extravagant ceremony. Recommended attendees such as Stevie Wonder and Jamie Dornan graced this momentous event with their presence.

In retrospect, they met in 2012 at the Ryder Cup, where she worked on transport coordination duties; Stoll served under PGA Agency before their paths were intertwined.

Despite initially meeting in 2012, McIlroy and Stoll didn’t become romantically involved until 2014. McIlroy had been previously engaged to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, but they broke things off in 2013.

McIlroy recalled his first meeting with Stoll during an interview on the Golf Channel, stating, “Erica that week was always the one that was checking us in and out. She was there for transportation, so she was always in the car park over there.”

At the tail end of 2014, Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll commenced their romantic liaison with a subtle demeanor. While speaking to the Times of London in 2015, McIlroy conveyed his satisfaction with his love life by stating that “even though we like to keep it understated,” he was exceptionally delighted in his relationship.

Seven years of marriage have culminated in a divorce filing, signifying the conclusion of an essential period for McIlroy’s personal life. As he manages this changeover, his followers and well-wishers anticipate progress as a golfer and individual outside the course.
