The PGA TOUR announced its 2025 “Best Of” award recipients, naming the WM Phoenix Open Event of the Year for the sixth time and fourth in the last five years. The award recognizes excellence in every aspect of a tournament, including fan experience, player satisfaction, charitable impact, and sponsor integration.
Held in Scottsdale since 1987, the WM Phoenix Open enhanced operations for the 2025 event under the theme “Better, Not Bigger.” Improvements included expanded walkways, redesigned entry points, and upgraded hospitality areas. Key traditions remained, such as free admission early in the week, free parking, and local dining options.
Leading in Sustainability
The WM Phoenix Open maintained its status as the world’s largest verified zero-waste sporting event. The tournament achieved 100% landfill diversion through reusable signage, solar-powered compactors, and food donations. WM’s Working For Tomorrow Fund raised $419,000 for renewable energy, water restoration, and hunger relief.
Celebrating Resilience: Spirit of the PGA TOUR Award
A new honor, the Spirit of the PGA TOUR Award, recognized TGR Live and the Century Club of San Diego for relocating The Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines due to devastating wildfires near Riviera Country Club. Their collaboration demonstrated extraordinary commitment during a challenging moment.
