Linn Grant Secures Dramatic DP World Tour Victory with Stunning Finish!

Linn Grant of Sweden delivered a thrilling hometown victory at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, capturing her second DP World Tour title with an unforgettable finish. Grant, starting the final round 11 shots behind, executed a remarkable comeback with a 7-under 65, edging out competitors Sebastian Soderberg and Calum Hill by one stroke.

Grant sealed her victory with a birdie chip on the last hole, marking a pivotal moment in the tournament. The event is jointly authorized by both European Tour and Ladies European Tour regulations, enabling men and women to contend for an equal prize on identical courses.

Soderberg, who had a disastrous final round, ended with a 77. Despite leading by one shot on the par-4 18th, a bunker misstep and subsequent missed putts, including a 15-inch bogey putt, cost him the title. His double bogey handed the victory to Grant.

“Honestly, I just tried to go out today and give myself an opportunity,” Grant said. “I didn’t even think that I had the chance of winning — 11 shots is a huge gap. So I just wanted to go out, have fun, make as many birdies as possible, and enjoy it with my brother and being at home. It turned out to be an incredible day.”

Meanwhile, Calum Hill concluded firmly with a score of 69 by birdieing three out of his last six holes to secure second place. Grant’s triumph showcases not just her outstanding abilities but also the thrill and unpredictability that accompanies golf, which once again makes her an exceptional athlete on the DP World Tour stage.
