Keegan Bradley is deliberating whether to include himself as a captain’s pick for Team USA in the 2025 Ryder Cup, following a standout season on the PGA Tour.
The 39-year-old concluded the FedExCup finale at East Lake with a tie for seventh place, marking his sixth top-10 finish of the season, which also featured a victory at the Travelers Championship.
Despite his impressive performance, Bradley finished 11th in the Ryder Cup qualification standings, just outside the automatic qualification spots.
Presidential Endorsement and Historical Context
President Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Bradley for the playing captain role, a position not held since Arnold Palmer in 1963.
Bradley plans to consult with his vice-captains before making a final decision. He emphasized that his primary goal is to lead Team USA to victory at Bethpage Black, stating, “The only thing I care about is on Sunday of the Ryder Cup, that we win the Ryder Cup.”
Final Team USA Selections
The final selections for Team USA are set to be announced on Wednesday, with Bradley’s decision on his potential playing captain role remaining a pivotal point of discussion.
