Denmark welcomes the return of its native stars at the Danish Golf Championship, where twins Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard aim to shine. With the tournament being their second-to-last opportunity to impress, both are looking to make a strong case for selection to Captain Luke Donald’s European Ryder Cup team at Bethpage. Qualification closes at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo.

Rasmus Højgaard’s Push for Selection
Rasmus enters the week in a stronger position, ranked 8th in the Ryder Cup qualification standings, while Nicolai sits 26th. Rasmus has frequently been among the top six automatic qualifiers, bolstered by his victory at the Amgen Irish Open last September.

“I need to play some really good golf these next two weeks,” Rasmus said. “That is where my focus is. If I play well, I am going to be in the conversation, and if I don’t, I won’t be. It is what it is. I’m looking forward to these two weeks and seeing if I can put together some nice results.”

Nicolai Højgaard Aims for Consecutive Ryder Cup Appearance
Nicolai is striving to secure his second consecutive Ryder Cup berth. Having been part of Europe’s winning team in Italy two years ago, he’s eager to earn another spot and continue representing his country at the highest level.
