The DP World Tour season heads into its decisive stretch as players fight for one of ten coveted PGA TOUR cards for 2026. The top-10 finishers in the Race to Dubai standings, not otherwise exempt, will earn promotion following the DP World Tour Championship.
Despite the increased stakes at last week’s Abu Dhabi Championship, the top-10 leaderboard remains unchanged. Playoffs have brought excitement and parity, but the leading contenders have held firm heading into Dubai.
Marco Penge Leads the Race
England’s Marco Penge continues to dominate the standings, ranked No. 2 overall in the Race to Dubai behind Rory McIlroy and leading among players not exempt. Securing the top non-exempt spot offers additional perks, including entry into THE PLAYERS Championship and several early-season Signature Events on the PGA TOUR.
Key Contenders Hold Strong
Behind Penge, the mix includes Kristoffer Reitan, Adrien Saddier, John Parry, and Alex Noren, the latter on the verge of earning PGA TOUR membership via the DP World Tour route. Former Presidents Cup player Haotong Li and ex-world No. 1 amateur Keita Nakajima also remain in contention, though Nakajima’s position is under pressure as the season finale approaches.
Movement Outside the Top 10
While the top group stayed intact, Daniel Hillier climbed from 15th to 12th after a T5 finish in Abu Dhabi, marking the highest performance by a player not already exempt on the PGA TOUR. Event winner Aaron Rai and top names like Tommy Fleetwood, McIlroy, and Nicolai Højgaard filled the upper tier of the leaderboard but are already TOUR members.
