WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark is preparing for an exciting new endeavor, albeit away from basketball. This November, she will swap her basketball skills for golf as she joins the pro-am event at The Annika—an LPGA tournament hosted by renowned golfer Annika Sorenstam. Held at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, this tournament marks one of the concluding events on the LPGA Tour calendar.
Besides participating in the pro-am, Clark will engage in the Women’s Leadership Summit as part of a panel comprising esteemed speakers. This summit emphasizes empowering women across sports and leadership roles, with Clark’s involvement bringing a novel perspective as an emerging athlete making significant strides in the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark’s offseason plans clearly reflect her love for golf. After the Indiana Fever’s season ended last month, Clark joked that she intended to “become a professional golfer” before winter set in, and now she’s putting those words into action. “I love golf, so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting,” Clark said.
Renowned for her precision on the basketball court, Clark also has a profound passion for golf. She looks forward to mingling with LPGA players at the driving range and joining Sorenstam in the pro-am event. “I’m thrilled to connect with all of the LPGA golfers at the driving range, engage in the Women’s Leadership Summit, and of course relish playing in the pro-am alongside Annika,” Clark commented.
The Women’s Leadership Summit will take place on November 12, followed by the pro-am on November 13. Clark is also an ambassador for Gainbridge, the tournament’s presenting sponsor, further connecting her to the event and its mission to inspire and uplift women in sports.
As Caitlin Clark prepares for this exciting experience, she continues to show her versatility both as an athlete and a role model. Whether on the basketball court or the golf course, Caitlin Clark is ready to make an impact.
