Anthony Delisanti Competes in Patriot All-America Invitational

Anthony Delisanti, a senior golfer from Valparaiso University, continues to establish himself as one of the best amateur golfers in the nation. Originally from Sanborn, New York, and a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, Delisanti’s journey to the prestigious Patriot All-America Invitational is marked by extraordinary accomplishments and an unwavering passion for golf.  

During his high school tenure, Delisanti was a part of a dominant team that set numerous records, including a remarkable 99-match win streak in the Niagara Frontier League. His golf career reached new heights at Valparaiso University, where he showcased consistent performance and determination.  

A particularly shining moment of his career came in the Northeast Amateur tournament at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rhode Island. In that event, Delisanti shot a stunning 7-under-par 62 to force a playoff, eventually claiming victory with a birdie on the fifth playoff hole. This win etched his name alongside notable past champions like Dustin Johnson and Colin Morikawa, further solidifying his status as an elite golfer.  

The Patriot All-America Invitational: A Prestigious Opportunity  

The Patriot All-America Invitational, held annually at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona, is one of the most prestigious events in amateur golf. The tournament brings together the top 84 male PING All-Americans from NCAA divisions, NJCAA, NAIA, and AJGA. For the past two years, the event has also included elite female golfers, making it more inclusive.  

This highly competitive 54-hole tournament is not just about showcasing talent but also celebrating American military heroes. Each participant is honored with a custom PING golf bag bearing the name of a fallen or wounded service member. Additionally, athletes have the unique opportunity to visit Luke Air Force Base, connecting the sport of golf with the sacrifices of military veterans.
