Webb Simpson Named Vice Captain for 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup Team!

The U.S. Ryder Cup team for 2025 will have Webb Simpson as its inaugural vice captain, according to an announcement made by team leader Keegan Bradley. A proficient golfer with seven PGA Tour wins and a triumph in the 2012 US Open, Simpson’s extensive experience in the field includes participating thrice each at both the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup games, which makes him well-suited for his new role.

Simpson’s qualifications received high praise from Bradley who expressed, “I hold Webb in great esteem as both a competitor and companion. He has ample team golf proficiency under his belt and an understanding of the essence of victory. Adding Webb to our leadership group will prove advantageous while prepping for Bethpage Black come September.”

In Farmingdale, New York’s Bethpage Black golf course, the 2025 Ryder Cup is slated for September 26-28. Webb Simpson conveyed his excitement about being named a vice captain for the occasion by Keegan and stated, “It is an honor to have been selected.”

Competing in three Ryder Cups will forever be among my career highlights. I have no doubt that Keegan will be a fantastic captain and a tremendous leader, and could not be more excited to get to work as we seek to reclaim the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.”

The U.S. team is hoping to utilize Webb Simpson’s vast experience and leadership abilities in their efforts to overthrow Europe’s recent Ryder Cup dominance with his appointment.
