Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake’s St Andrews Sports Bar Project Gets Green Light!

The historic New Picture House cinema in St Andrews is set to undergo a transformation into an opulent sports bar named T-Squared Social, as Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake have been given the green light by official authorities. Despite initial opposition that resulted in over 10k signatures on a petition against it, the Fife Council has granted planning permission for this project.

Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake, who opened a T-Squared Social in midtown Manhattan last September, are expanding their brand to Scotland. The new establishment will feature golf simulators, duckpin bowling, and darts, aiming to blend sports and luxury entertainment.

Since 1930, the New Picture House has been a prominent landmark in St Andrews. Currently, it is operating with occupancy below 10 percent. The cinema’s current owners support the proposed plan which aims to preserve at least one movie screen and generate around 40-45 job opportunities.

The application for the new sports bar was submitted by Nexus Luxury Collection, a real estate firm in which both Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake hold shares. The establishment will be positioned approximately half a mile away from the Old Course, where Woods emerged victorious in the 2000 as well as 2005 Open Championships. Likewise, Timberlake has affiliations with the course following his participation there during last year’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Although the development timeline remains undisclosed, according to the agreement’s specifications, construction must commence within three years. The venture embodies a fusion of traditional allure and contemporary opulence that pledges to introduce an unprecedented facet into the thriving community of this town.
