Mike Trout’s $100M Incredible Golf Course Unveiled

Mike Trout

Mike Trout has added a major new chapter to his life away from Major League Baseball with the opening of an ambitious golf development in his hometown of Millville, New Jersey.

The Los Angeles Angels superstar is behind Trout National: The Reserve, an exclusive golf destination developed with legendary golfer Tiger Woods and his TGR Design team. The project, which carries a price tag of more than $100 million, combines a championship golf course with luxury accommodations, training facilities and amenities designed around the baseball star’s personality and career.

For Mike Trout, the project is more than an investment. It is a way to build something lasting in the community where he grew up while pursuing his passion for golf.

A hometown vision

Located on approximately 288 acres in Millville, Trout National was developed on land that was previously used as a silica sand mine. The unusual landscape gave Woods and his design team an opportunity to create a distinctive course from the ground up.

The centerpiece is an 18-hole championship course stretching more than 7,500 yards from the back tees. Woods’ TGR Design was closely involved in shaping the layout, while Mike Trout remained involved throughout the project.

The partnership brought together two major names from different sports. Woods is one of golf’s most accomplished players, while Trout has established himself as one of baseball’s premier stars.

Tiger Woods designs the course

Tiger Woods’ involvement gives Trout National an additional level of prestige. His TGR Design team was responsible for creating the course, with the layout designed to provide a challenging experience for experienced golfers while maintaining playability.

The property also features The Bullpen, a six-hole, fully lit short course that gives members another option for playing and practicing. The facility allows golfers to continue playing after sunset and adds another distinctive element to the development.

For Mike Trout, working with Woods helped turn his vision into a world-class golf destination.

An exclusive private club

Trout National is designed to be extremely private. Membership is limited to 227 people, a number that has special significance because it reflects Trout’s famous No. 27 baseball jersey.

The club is expected to appeal to professional athletes, business leaders, team owners and serious golfers looking for an exclusive destination. The limited membership is intended to create a more relaxed environment, with members able to enjoy the property without the crowds found at larger golf clubs.

The development also offers extensive practice facilities, giving members opportunities to work on every part of their game.

Luxury beyond golf

The $100 million project goes far beyond its main course.

Trout National includes a 7,600-square-foot performance center equipped with golf technology and training facilities. Members can also use putting and short-game areas, while the clubhouse offers a wide selection of luxury amenities.

Among the features are a spa, barbershop, bowling alley, golf simulator, bar and a 2,500-bottle wine cellar. Accommodation is available through cottages, clubhouse suites and larger lodges, allowing visitors to turn a golf trip into a full luxury getaway.

The property also includes The Dugout, an amenity station that reflects Mike Trout’s baseball background and adds a personal touch to the development.

A new side of Mike Trout

Although baseball remains central to his career, Mike Trout has long been passionate about golf. Trout National gives him an opportunity to build something connected to that interest while remaining closely tied to his roots in South Jersey.

The project also represents a potential long-term legacy beyond his playing career. After spending much of his professional life in the spotlight as an MLB superstar, Mike Trout now has a major business and lifestyle venture carrying his name.

Trout National officially opened in 2026, transforming an idea connected to Trout’s hometown into a fully developed private destination.

The collaboration with Tiger Woods makes the project particularly notable, bringing together two sports icons in a development that combines golf, luxury and personal history.

For Mike Trout, Trout National is ultimately more than a golf course. It is a hometown project, a major investment and a lasting extension of his identity away from baseball.
