The 2024 PGA Tour season is still ongoing. After Scottie Scheffler’s FedEx Cup Playoffs victory, the action continued with the Procore Championship at Silverado Resort‘s North Course in Napa, California. This event kicks off the FedEx Cup Fall series, where players are vying to retain their tour cards for 2025 while others are chasing crucial exemptions and valuable FedEx Cup points.

Why the Procore Championship Matters
The Procore Championship, previously known as the Fortinet Championship and Safeway Open, is the first of eight fall events. Winning here offers more than just a slice of the $6 million purse. The victor will secure a two-year PGA Tour exemption, 500 FedEx Cup points, and spots in prestigious tournaments like The Players, The Sentry, and The Masters.
Players in the top 125 of the FedEx Cup standings by the end of the fall retain full status for 2025. Big Names in the Field
World No. 12 Sahith Theegala returns to defend his first-ever PGA Tour victory, while two-time Procore champion Max Homa and 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark headline the event. Other notable golfers include Kevin Kisner, Stewart Cink, Mike Weir, Min Woo Lee, Corey Conners, and Mackenzie Hughes. This diverse field will be competing for the $1.08 million winner’s share of the prize.
